Uncommon Sense places a high priority on protecting your privacy. Our ongoing commitment to the protection of your privacy is essential to developing and maintaining the trust that exists between Uncommon Sense and our users, whether they be volunteers, clients, charitable donors, or other visitors to the site. The purpose of this privacy policy is to help you understand our online security practices.

 

Personally Identifiable Information

Visitors who make online charitable gifts to Uncommon Sense, or those who sign up to receive Uncommon Sense e-communications voluntarily provide us with contact information (such as name and e-mail address). We may use this information for specific, limited purposes. You may always "opt out," either now or at any time in the future, if you do not wish to receive our messages.

IP Addresses

Uncommon Sense uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer www.councilofnonprofits.org, and for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.

How Your Information May Be Used

Uncommon Sense uses your personal information to provide you with personalized service; to send e-mail alerts to you; to answer your requests; to process your event registrations; etc. You may choose to opt out at any time.

Email Privacy

Uncommon Sense does not provide, sell, or rent email addresses to anyone outside the organization.

Terms & Conditions/Refund Policy

All charitable contributions made to Uncommon Sense are non-refundable once they have been processed. Uncommon Sense has the right to publish any contributions made to the organization unless otherwise stated by the donor. Donations labeled as private or made anonymously may not be published or displayed for public viewing. 

Because Uncommon Sense is a federally registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization in good standing, contributions are tax-deductible under the regulations of the Internal Revenue Service.  Uncommon Sense is not responsible for any errors or miscalculations made on tax documentation you submit to federal or state authorities. If there is an error on a donation receipt or acknowledgement sent to you from Uncommon Sense, please notify us immediately.
